Crochet plant basket: free pattern

Your plants will absolutely love a crochet plant basket. They’re super easy to make and they’re done in no time. I’ve written up a free crochet pattern for both a small and large crochet planter. Enjoy!

Je plantjes gaan deze gehaakte plantenpot geheid leuk vinden. Ze zijn ook nog eens heel erg leuk om te maken, en bovendien snel klaar. Ik heb een gratis haakpatroon voor een grote en een kleine plantenpot. Veel plezier.

Crochet plant basket: what you need

I’ve used Scheepjes Mighty to make these crochet plant baskets. The yarn consists of 32% jute and 68% cotton. It’s strong enough to make a crochet planter that will keep its shape and the stitch definition is lovely. The yarn is available in several shades. I have used the colours Scheepjes Mighty Mountain (755) and Volcano (758).

• 1 ball of colour A
• 1 ball of colour B
• Crochet hook 3.5 mm

Gehaakte plantenpot: dit heb je nodig

Ik haakte deze gehaakte plantenpotten met Scheepjes Mighty. Dit garen koop je bijvoorbeeld hier en bestaat uit 32% jute en 68% en dat maakt het heel stevig. Je hebt alleen dit garen nodig om deze mandjes te haken, ze houden perfect hun vorm zonder extra ondersteunend koord of iets dergelijks. Wel zo handig. Er zijn verschillende kleuren verkrijgbaar. Ik gebruikte de kleuren Mountain (755) en Volcano (758).

How to use a crochet plant basket?

• Keep the plant in its nursery/growers pot and put a piece of plastic underneath the plant.
• Alternatively: put the plant in a cheaper thin plastic pot before you insert the plant into the crochet plant basket.

Hoe gebruik je een gehaakte plantenpot?

• Laat de plant in de kwekerspot zitten en leg een stuk plastic onderin de gehaakte plantenpot voordat je de plant erop zet.
• Verpot te plant in een dunne, plastic plantenpot voordat je je plant in je gehaakte plantenpot zet. Ik vind de plantenpotten van Elho heel fijn, deze zijn ook nog eens gemaakt van gerecycelt plastic.
