C2C Lily Pond Shawl, crochet pattern

I was so hoping that I could finish this C2C shawl before the end of last year. But while I was making it, I thought it would be a good plan to keep score of the pattern that I was making. And whilst scribbling down notes and drawing up the graph it just took a while longer than planned. My C2C Lily Pond Shawl is finished and the crochet pattern is here as well.

Eigenlijk had ik deze sjaal af willen hebben voor het einde van afgelopen jaar. Ik dacht: dan heb ik er de hele winter nog wat aan. Maar terwijl ik eraan aan het werken was, dacht ik dat het misschien handig zou zijn als ik het patroon bij zou houden. En al aantekeningen kriebelend duurde het gewoon wat langer dan gepland. Maar, nu is deze enorme en lekkere warme sjaal klaar. En het haakpatroon voor deze C2C sjaal is nu ook af.

About the Lily Pond Shawl

I think the Lily Pond Shawl is what they call a blanket shawl, as it is really a house of a shawl, that’s how wide and long it is. I mean, picture wrapping yourself in 210 cm long and 26 cm worth of shawl, it is just really lovely. And really, there’s more than enough time left to be modest, don’t you agree?

In het Engels noemen ze een sjaal als deze een ‘blanket shawl’, omdat hij zo groot en en breed is. Inderdaad, met 26 cm breed en 210 cm lang is het een soort warm bad als je hem lekker om je heen wikkelt. Zo fijn, geloof me. En echt, bescheiden zijn kan altijd nog toch?
